A sign shop, not a marketing agency with a printer

Commercial signage sits in an awkward place. It is part graphic design, part manufacturing, part construction and part electrical — and most of the things that go wrong with it go wrong in the gaps between those trades.

That is the problem this shop was built around. Over twenty-five years in the trade, the work moved steadily in-house: first the printing, then the fabrication, then paint and assembly, then the trucks and lifts to put the finished piece up. Today a job that starts as a phone call about a bare fascia on Portland Street can go all the way to a lit sign without leaving the same group of people.

The facility on Williams Avenue is a working production floor — flatbed and roll printers, laminators, a router, welding and paint, and the bench space to assemble a cabinet or lay out a set of channel letters before it goes anywhere near a building. It also means we can hold a vehicle indoors for a wrap, which matters far more in February than most people realise.

Most of our work is inside Halifax Regional Municipality — Dartmouth, Halifax, Bedford, Sackville and the communities around them — with projects across the rest of Nova Scotia and, where it makes sense, further into Atlantic Canada. Clients range from a single independent operator opening their first storefront to property managers and multi-site businesses running a signage programme across several locations.

We are not the cheapest shop in the province, and we are straightforward about that. What you get instead is a sign that was drawn properly, built to survive where it is going, installed on the date we said, and backed by people who will still answer the phone in three years.
